A Practice Report On The Whispering Interpreting Of The Promotion Conference Of The First Conference Of Hebei Tourism Industry Development

The First Conference of Hebei Tourism Industry Development was held in Beijing West Leisure Resort from Sept.23 rd to 25 th,2016.This conference has the highest standard,the largest scale and the greatest landmark significance in the development history of Hebei tourism.Nearly 1800 people from all around the world went to the promotion conference of this grand conference.It is my honor to have the chance to attend this conference as one of the interpreters.My task is to do the simultaneous interpreting for two guests from Sri Lanka in the promotion conference,and this report is a general description and an analysis of this interpreting practice.This report consists of five chapters: task description,process description,preparations for interpretation,case analyses and summary.The first two chapters are a general introduction of the source,requirement and process.The third chapter is the preparations for the interpreting,which includes preparations for knowledge,preparations for equipment and other stuff and preparations for physical and mental condition.In Chapter Four,the interpreter analyzes and rethinks the translation strategies and existing problems from the perspective of Skopos theory in this interpreting through some typical cases to improve the translation level.Chapter Five is a summary with emphasis on the experience and lessons in this interpreting practice.This report aims at summarizing experiences,studying problems in this interpreting and trying to improve translation level.
