A Translation Report To Theories Of Personality (Chapter 2)

Theories of Personality,an academic work which focuses on the introduction of Freud's basic theory of personality,is selected as the translation material of the translation practice.As the one of psychoanalytic leaders,Freud pioneered the research on subconscious psychology and personality psychology.His many works,like The Interpretation of Dreams,exerted profound influence worldwide.The selected text is mainly divided into the following parts: structural theory of personality,personality development,character type and research evidence for the theory of psychosexual development,etc.It displays a systematic frame of Freud's personality theory with tight logic and clear organization.This practice report is written around the general understanding of personality theory and intends to provide reference for the translation of psychological text.The report has four parts.The first part is about translation tasks which introduces the task background and feature and translation guidance theory.The second part shows the translation process.This part presents task preparation,task allocation,glossary formulation,translation strategy and plan.The third part analyzes the translation cases.This part mainly introduces many problem types,theoretical thinking and translation solution during the translation process.The last part is translation summary involving the unsolved problems and relative thinking and insight and expectations in my future.
