Textbooks are the foundation and main reason for the implementation of teaching.The quality of the textbooks directly affects the enthusiasm of learners and the quality of teaching.Grammar plays an important part in language teaching.The setting and arrangement of the grammar contents in a textbook have a great influence on the quality and success of teaching Chinese as a second language.In this paper,we choose Home with Kids as our research object to describe and analysis the grammatical points on the basis of exhaustive statistics by using the methods of statistics,comparison,induction and so on.Compared with the grammar items in the Chinese Level Standards and Syntax level outline,we check its syntax project scheduling problem.We mainly examine the selection of the grammar points and amount of grammar points in our research object and evaluate the rationality and the scientificity of the arrangement of the grammar items.We find out some problems in our research object.According to the above problems,we give some suggestions on the selection of grammar points and the proportion of key grammar points in the audiovisual textbooks,so as to provide reference for future teaching of Chinese as a second language and compilation of textbooks.The paper is divided into five parts:Chapter One: Introduction.Summarize selective reasons,research significances and the research theories and methods of the paper as well as domestic and foreign research status.Chapter Two: Statistics of grammar items in Home with Kids.Referring to the classification criteria of Chinese grammar in the Syntax Outline,the grammatical items in the textbooks are exhaustively counted,and the statistics and analysis are made on the proportion of various grammar items in the total number of grammar items.Chapter Three: Examination of the distribution of grammar points in Home with Kids.Referring to the classification criteria of Chinese grammar in the Syntax Outline,all the grammar points appearing in the textbook are divided into four levels of A,B,C,and D.We examine the quantitative characteristics of grammar points at all levels by unit in the textbooks,and analyze the characteristics of grammar points in the textbooks.Statistical analysis of the proportions of grammatical points at all levels is conducted to examine the grammar ordering characteristics of the textbooks.Chapter Four: Comparison of the grammar points of Home with Kids and Chinese grammar in the Syntax Outline.By Comparing the number and distribution of the two grammar items,we find out the commonalities and differences in terms of grammar points between the two.Finally,we summarize and analyze the overall grammar arrangement in our research object.Chapter Five: Thinking and Suggestions.According to the analysis of statistics and comparisons,we propose some corresponding suggestions.The paper examine the scientificity and rationality of the grammar arrangement in the textbooks,and point out the advantages and disadvantages of the grammar project arrangement.Based on the objective law and recognition law of second language acquisition,the paper puts forward corresponding suggestions on the problems existing in the grammar arrangement of teaching materials.The selection of grammar points in the textbooks should be closely combined with the Chinese grammar in the Syntax Outline;the arrangement of the grammar points in the textbooks should be organized according to the principle of easy-to-difficult;The selection of grammar points in the textbooks also should be practical.
