The Report Of The Translation Practice Of Commentary For Shuangyashan Museum

In recent years,with the vigorous development of China and the country's strong support for cultural communication,more and more foreign tourists are attracted by the splendid culture,and come to China for a visit.The museum is a microcosm of the cultural history of a country or the region and it is also an important window for foreign tourists to understand regional development.Shuangyashan Museum is the largest comprehensive historical museum in the eastern part of Heilongjiang Province,showing natural,historical,national folklore and cultural and artistic aspects of local collections.The translation of the museum commentary,as one of the important ways of publicity,has played an important role on the image of the museum and the spread and communication of national culture.At present,the translation of the Shuangyashan Museum commentary is not complete,and I try to translate the commentary of two exhibition halls on the basis of the Skopos theory and Aesthetics of Reception guiding the translation practice,with reference to a large amount of information and using the translation tools for translation and modification.In chapter three I analyze the key problems encountered in the process of translation,and put forward solutions and strategies.The purpose of the translation is to spread the culture of Shuangyashan area and let more foreign tourists know Shuangyashan.In the process of translation I preserve the uniqueness of Chinese culture so that foreign tourists may have a new understanding about the region.Chapter one introduces the translation task including the introduction of the consignor and the purpose and demand;chapter two is the description of translation process,including the preparation,translation and checking;chapter three is the most important part of this paper,I respectively analyze the translation deeply from three perspectives,proprietary vocabulary,cultural communication and reader acceptance.The part of the proprietary vocabulary discusses the problems from the three aspects of nature,history and culture and cultural relics,and puts forward the solution.The perspective of cultural transmission includes the national symbol translation and ancient Chinese prose translation.The part of the reader acceptance has found and solved the translation problems from the semantic level and aesthetic level;in chapter four I summarize and reflect on the translation practice.
