Culture teaching is an invaluable part of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages(TCSOL),and is the focus point in the academic world of TCSOL.Appropriate culture teaching can largely promote Chinese language teaching overseas.During 8/2015-7/2016,the writer collected as many materials as she can by communicating with local Chinese teachers and other volunteer teachers in Australia in order to show the current situation of culture teaching in Australia.The main article is divided into 5 parts.The first part is to emphasize the importance of the culture teaching by clearly explain the relationship between language and culture.Furthermore,describe the contexts and principles of culture teaching.The second part analyzes the background environments of Chinese teaching in Australia,and the current situation of Chinese language curriculum in NSW.The third part is to analyze the situation of culture teaching of Confucius Classroom in NSW,taking Bonnyrigg High School where the author worked for example.The forth part gives evaluation to the culture teaching of Confucius Classroom in NSW,including disadvantages and advantages.The fifth part makes suggestions to culture teaching of Confucius Classroom in NSW.
