Influenced by the global ecological thought, translation studies have also turned to the field of ecology.Based on the theoretical framework of the eco-translatology,this thesis firstly summarizes the main research focus of this theory, including translator-centeredness;translational eco-environment;translation process;translation principle;translation method and translation assessment criteria, etc, which lays a solid foundation for the later comparative study of the two Chinese versions.Under the eco-tranlatological perspective, this thesis chooses two translations of Wuthering Heights as the research object and makes a compared analysis.First of all,the author starts from the two stages of the translation process to analyze how the two translators perform their adaptation and selection in different translational eco-environment.Secondly,by applying the translation assessment criteria of eco-translatology,the author expounds how the two translations survive in the ecological environment. In the end,it reaches the conclusion after a detailed comparative analysis of the two Chinese translations that in the translation practice there is no superiority or inferiority between Yang Yi's and Fang Ping's version and both of the two translators make their versions successfully to survive by making their own appropriate adaptations and selections to the different translational eco-environment.Thus,the emergence of eco-translatology provides a new perspective for Wuthering Heights in translation studies and has a certain guiding significance for applied study of translation.
