As traditional figure paintings' crucial branch,beauty painting is mainly characterized by portraying female images.And with successive dynasties' aesthetic pursuit's changing,the art manifestation of beauties' postures also developed.Tang Dynasty is beauty painting's boom period.'Beauties Wearing Flowers' is one of the representative works of that time.Zhou Fang portrayed Tang Dynasty's noble women's idyllic scenes of life.On that painting,the beauties are dignified and graceful and their hands postures are very exquisite,which are distinguished from the hands postures in real life.The creation added the author's subjective feeling,making the hand posture have a ceremonial sense.Hand posture,as a picture's graphical symbol,is author's spiritual transmission and allegoric expression to female images.Through the detailed interpretation to 'Beauties Wearing Flowers',analyzing their hands postures' concrete article language,connecting the latent cultural implication with Buddhist Culture,comparing the hand posture's difference and concrete treatment of hand posture's art with those in Tang Dynasty's 'Dao Lian Figure' and the Five Dynasties' 'Han Xizai Evening Banquet',this essay explores ancient artists aesthetic pursuit to hand posture,discovers and summarizes hand posture's east aesthetic principles and verisimilar expressive creation mode.By the right of the ancientry to create the now,this essay summarizes hand posture' art's inheritance and development in contemporary beauty paintings.
