Reserch On Fining Historical Records In Qianlong Period

Funing Historical Records in Qianlong period was compiled in Qianlong 24 years(1759),then after more than two years,it was printed in Qianlong 27 years(1762).Funing is now Ningde city,commonly known as East Fujian,which became a state from county in the Yuan Zhiyuan 23 years(1286).Funing had its name because Fuan and Ningde county belonged to it in that time.Actually,Funing started to edit its record at Northern Song Shaosheng period(1094-1098)which named Changxi County Record,and there was as many as seven records in the Ming Dynasty.This book is the first local chronicles when it became a city from state in Yongzheng 12 years(1733),and it is also the only city record in Qing Dynasty.The author is named LiBa who was the governor of Funing city.He had good thinking and experience of compiling local chronicles after many practice.This book keeps multiple versions:the first editions in Qianlong 27 years(1762)and second editions in Guangxu 6 years(1880),and some copies from the second editions.The compilation style of this record is more complete and has some innovation.Its historical material resource mainly come from Funing state record in Ming Dynasty,also come from Annals of Fujian,Min Bookand,some county records of Funing and ancient books.It is valuable for scattered works because it references so many historical records,which are incomplete or lost.For historical value,this record is very useful for the politics,economic and social culture research of Funing.This paper elaborates the record's historical value from property,population,official salary,coast defence and so on.However,there are some limitations on style and content.The emendation of this record is very useful for research,but there are some mistakes which are collated in this paper(see the appendix).
