Since the arrival of the Internet age,especially after entering the new century,with the progress of the development of science and technology,the world is becoming more and more to the evolution of "global village",the political,economic,technological,cultural and other social life aspects of communication between different countries and regions are increasingly frequent.English,as a first language in the world,its importance is more outstanding.On the talent requirements,market economy is clearly no longer satisfied with only English language skills,or just has professional skills,but more those who are proficient in professional English and professional skills.Under the strong market demand guidance,English for General Purposes(EGP)is difficult to adapt to changes in the environment,while English for special purposes(ESP)is adapted to the current needs of the times,its importance is growing.Higher vocational colleges and universities also pay more attention to ESP teaching.To improve higher vocational graduate students' ability in specialized English,in order to accord with the requirement of social development,is the major task of higher vocational English teaching needs to solve.Based on different teaching idea,the researchers use various teaching methods,constantly explore the optimal path of ESP teaching in high vocational colleges.Among them,the project-based teaching method,adheres to project as the leading factor,teacher as the guide,andtakes the student as the main body,which conforms to the needs of the current social circumstances in ESP teaching.Itis a remarkable teaching methods and worthy of practice.In this study,the researcher applied the project teaching method in higher vocational colleges in ESP teaching practice,designed to test feasibility and effectiveness of project teaching method in ESP teaching,studied theimplementation plan and the superiority of project teaching method in the teaching of higher vocational college ESP,andprovide valuable reference for the ESP teaching.This research mainly uses literature,questionnaire,teaching experiment and data analysis.The researcher has 120 students in Jiu Jiang Vocational University as subjects,to carry out a teaching experiment with 36 credit hours.The results showed that: in the aviation services professional ESP teaching,compared with the traditional method of teaching,project teaching method were not significantly improve the students' final grades.But it can actively mobilize students' learning initiative and creativity of the ESP,improve their learning attitude of ESP,and improve their interest in learning.Researchers believe that the project teaching method is an effective teaching method to be promoted,it can inspire students' active learning enthusiasm,help students to consolidate the knowledge,change the relationship between teachers and students,enhance the students' cooperation spirit,and cultivate the students' ability in employment.At the same time,there are a series of limitations,includes: the project teaching method is too limited to the project itself;It's requirements to the teachers' comprehensive quality is higher;Project implementation process of teacher's quality request is higher.It is difficult to meet the requirements of environment needed for the program.
