Research On Citizen’s Ecological Responsibility

The proposal of citizen ecological responsibility has its specific social background and theoretical basis.From the social background,the continuous emergence of ecological crisis has seriously restricted the development of the world’s national economy.Under the vigorous development of the ecological protection culture,ecological civilization has gradually become an important issue in the political arena.From the theoretical basis,the ecological responsibility in traditional Chinese ethics,the ecological responsibility in modern western environmental ethics and Marx’s ecological responsibility have laid a solid theoretical foundation for the citizen’s ecological responsibility.Citizen’s ecological responsibility is a citizen’s obligation and duty to cherish nature,develop and utilize natural resources,maintain ecological environment and not be polluted.Citizens’ ecological responsibility is not only due to the survival and development of human beings,but also because of their environmental rights and obligations to fulfill their environmental obligations.The ecological responsibility of citizens is not only conducive to the health of the citizens themselves,but also conducive to the promotion of green development strategy,as well as the sustainable development of all human beings.Civic activities should adhere to the principles of fairness,integrity,ecological bottom line and common but differentiated ethics,and set up the concept of thrift,cherish life and persistence,implement green diet,green living,green clothing and green travel.In view of the current status of citizens’ ecological responsibility in our country,the positive aspects are mainly reflected in the citizen’s concern about the ecological environment issues,the gradual improvement of citizens’ awareness of ecological rights protection and the active participation of citizens in the cause of ecological public welfare.However,the lack of ecological responsibility of our citizens is mainly reflected in the lack of knowledge of ecological protection,the lack of civic awareness of ecological protection,the lack of citizen’s ecological protection behavior and the strong dependence of citizens on the government’s ecological protection.The reasons are: first,the limitation of citizens’ economic income;two,the lack of civic ecological responsibility education;the three is the imperfection of citizen’s ecological responsibility system;four,the lack of public opinion on social ecologicalprotection.In order to enhance the ecological responsibility of citizens in our country,we should pay attention to the construction of civic ecological education,improve the mechanism of citizen’s ecological responsibility,and strengthen the creation of public opinion atmosphere in social ecology.
