This translation report is based on my translation practice of excerpts taken from children‘s books named Disney Series: Zootopia.I‘ve chosen two of the books as my source texts, namely,The Stinky Cheese Caper, and Zootopia: The Official Handbook. The former tells us a story that a policeman named Nick Wilde(a fox)and a policewoman named Judy Hopps(a rabbit)work together to solve some interlocking capers on the stinky cheese with great efforts. It is a narrative-featured book. The latter is a guide book on travelling to the city Zootopia, mainly depicting different regions of the city, their characteristics as well as the local faves. While translating,I was guided by the translation principles of ?Faithfulness,Expressiveness and Closeness? put forward by the Chinese translation theorist Liu Zhongde. And also,I used a number of translation strategies and skills such as free translation, domestication, addition. In the process of translating,I tried my best to make the version equivalent to the original in content, expressive to the original in language, and as close as the original in style. As a translator,I hope I can make a contribution to the development of the translation undertakings on children‘s literature in China through my translation project. That‘s the objective and significance of my translation practice.
