Human sex is born and is determined by objective factors such as chromosomes,hormones,and reproductive structures,but gender is the product of the interaction between humans and society,which changes with time and culture.In the traditional gender notion,men are supposed to be powerful,strong,rational,and ambitious,while women are supposed to be gentle,fragile,perceptual and compassionate.In fact,this gender is very unreasonable.In a modern society,a person with good adaptability should have both masculine and feminine personality traits,which is a gender perspective called "androgyny".This study investigates the gender role type,emotional adjustment ability and academic achievement status of senior high school students,and explores the relationship between androgyny,emotional adjustment and academic achievement of high school students,aiming at provide more information for the mental health education as theoretical support and enrich our country in the field of androgyny research.And make recommendations to carry out school androgyny education on this basis.In this study,a questionnaire survey was conducted to select a high school in Weiyang District of Xi'an.A total of 600 questionnaires were distributed,571 questionnaires were collected,502 were valid questionnaires.This study use Bern Sex Role Inventory and Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire(CERQ)as the measurement tool.The data are analyzed and processed by statistical methods such as descriptive statistics,variance analysis,chi-square test,correlation analysis and regression analysis.The main conclusions are as follows:1.Compared with masculine,feminine and undifferentiated types,androgynous personality types account for the highest proportion of high school students.2.Gender differences in personality type were significantly different.Compared with girls,boys androgynous level higher;androgynous personality type of grade difference was not significant,high sophomore and high first grade individual androgynous level was not obvious difference.3.Androgynous personality,emotional adjustment ability and academic performance of the three variables are significant related to each other.There is a significant positive correlation between the androgynous personality and academic achievement.There was a significant positive correlation between the ability of emotion adjustment and academic achievement.And the androgynous personality and emotional adjustment ability is significant positive correlation.4.Androgynous personality and emotional adjustment ability can significantly predict academic performance.When the influence of emotional adjustment ability is controlled,the role of bisexual personality in academic performance is still significant.Emotional adjustment ability in the androgynous personality and academic performance play a part of the intermediary role.
