Liang Qi Chao's Viewpoint At Chinese And Western Culture In His Late Years

Since modern times,along with the expansion of the European capitalist forces,a large number of Western culture began to spread to China causing a fierce conflict between Chinese and Western culture and Chinese traditional culture faces unprecedented challenges,how to correctly handle the relationship between Chinese and Western culture became the problem that people have to consider and solve.Liang Qi chao,who lived in a turbulent times,have explored the problem for a long time and put forward his view of "combining Chinese and Western" after his traveling to Europe,formed his final understanding of Chinese and Western cultures.Correctly understand Liang Qi chao's view has great significance and value for us to deeply understand the history of modern Chinese thoughts.The paper takes Liang Qi chao's ideas of Chinese and western culture in his later years as the research content.First of all,from the themes of the era of "salvation" and"enlightenment",the exploration and failure process of Chinese and Western culture by modern Chinese people and the debate between Chinese and Western cultures in the May 4th New Culture Movement to explore the epochal factor which promote the formation of Liang Qichao's view of Chinese and western culture.At the same time,we also analyze his early exploration of Chinese and Western culture and his European tour experience to find out the other contributing factors.And comprehensively grasp the background of the formation of Liang Qichao's view of Chinese and western culture.Secondly,by analyzing Liang Qichao's writings and related articles in his later years,comprehensively expound the main contents of Liang Qichao's western and Chinese cultural viewpoints in his late years,which consist of criticizing and learning western foreign culture;inheriting and criticizing Chinese traditional culture and integrating Chinese and Western culture.Finally,we will analyze the characteristics and evaluate Liang Qichao's view and draw a realistic enlightenment to the development of today' s culture.From the dialectic,inheritance and contemporaneity,the paper analyzes the characteristics of Liang Qi chao's view of Chinese and Western culture in his later years.From the historical significance and limitations,we comprehensively analyze Liang Qi chao 's view of Chinese and Western culture in his later years.Through these analyzes,based on the developmental needs of China's cultural modernization,we explore the important enlightenment of Liang Qi chao's view of Chinese and western culture to today's cultural development from the aspects of cultural self-confidence,the relaitionship between"traditional culture" and "modern culture","oriental culture" and "western culture".
