With the popularization of science,People now have a good acknowledgement of unexplainable phenomenons appearing in the past,they won't believe in monsters and supersitition,in comparision with the respect of monsters from our ancestors,people generate a sense of superiority of ignrament nowadays.Most peple believe that the theory of monsters will disappear sonner or later,however,in my opinion,the respect of monsters from the ancestors is related to the respect of the environment surrounding,which reflects a harmony condition between people and nature.Let's look at the modern society,we learn about the nature,and reform the nature via science,which causes lots of irreversible damage to nature,making the relationship between human being and nature become strained.People nowadays lacking of belief,which means a kind of respet to nature,and this kind of belief,indeed,is the profound connotation that contain in the culture of monsters.Therefore,this issue aims to find out the national wisdom,ancient beliefs and values that hiding in the cultre of monsters,intergrating those figures of monsters and backgrounds of monsters' stories,then creating graphics on the basis of above,making it more suitable for modern design.This issue is the creation and the application research of character graphics based on the Chinese monsters' culture.The first part is presentation of design works including display and brief introduction of the design sketch,the picture of the process of design,the sketch design as well.The first chapter analysis the requirement of creation of character graphics of Chinese monsters' culture,making an investigation and a summary of the application of monsters' culture.This part plays an role of knowing more about therequirement of creation of character graphics,making an explicit path for further design.The second chapter focus on the future research of the origin and development of monsters' culture,the characteristics of monsters' figures,the aesthetic and value of monsters' culture as well as the transformation and development of Chinese monsters' culture art form.The third chapter is about the literal graphics concept,origin and basic principle.Design is a process of heavenly steed soaring across the skies,however,it not only needs to be constrainted according to the rules,but also up to the standard.The forth chapter is an important portion of this project,a production process which bases on the culture of monsters' graphic representation.The main explanation is why the creation of text graphics named after monsters.The three advantages of text and graphics application in modern design include : message transmition,formal beauty and abundant forms.The author wants to make the design concept more popular in public with the mainstream aesthetic of the character graphics of monsters.In conclution,keeping detailed records of the creation step.And recording the steps of creation detailedly.
