The Vocabulary Research Of Qin Bamboo Slips Collected By Yuelu Academy Vol.4

Qin Bamboo Slips Collected by Yuelu Academy is collected from Hongkong by Hunan University Yuelu Academy.It has an important academic value for the study of the ancient Chinese language and the study of the development of the ancient Chinese vocabulary.It is mainly included in the law of Qin Dynasty and specific case.So far the study of the literal interpretation and writing,the annotation,the interchangeable words and the punctuation about Qin Bamboo Slips Collected by Yuelu Academy Vol.4 are constantly emerging.But for its whole vocabulary study has not yet been launched.This research takes the vocabulary of Qin Bamboo Slips Collected by Yuelu Academy Vol.4 as the main study object,at the same time,explores the Chinese character recognition and the text interpretation,the annotation,the interchangeable words and the punctuation and other aspects.We divide the study into five parts.The first part is the introduction which includes the background and the literature review of Qin Bamboo Slips Collected by Yuelu Academy Vol.4,the significance and the approach of our research.The second part is about the study on the monosyllabic words and polysyllabic words of Qin Bamboo Slips Collected by Yuelu Academy Vol.4.Firstly,the monosyllabic words occupies the absolute advantage in the whole vocabulary system.There are 730 monosyllabic words and word categories are rich and varied.The nouns and verbs occupy the absolute advantage in the monosyllabic words and the number of adjectives and adverbs is less than that of nouns and verbs.There are some double words in monosyllabic words and the polysemy of monosyllabic words are more prominent.The meanings of them related in various types of escape,sale,tax collection,horse administration,compulsory service on the frontier,the setting and administration of basic level administrative unit etc.Secondly,the number of polysyllabic words less than monosyllabic words.There are 391 polysyllabic words and word categories less than monosyllabic words.Nouns,verbs,adjectives,which account for 97.4%in polysyllabic words.Among them,the number of nouns is the most,the verb is the second,the adjective is less,there is no preposition and the modal particle.In addition,most of the polysyllabic words are monosemic words.There is few double words.In this stage,the pattern of polysyllabic words is relatively simple,which mainly includes coordinate pattern,modifying disyllabic pattern,verb-object pattern.There is few subject-predicate pattern.These reflect the development of monosyllabic words during this period has been more mature and polysyllabic words is still in the preliminary stage of development.Furthermore,during this period,a large number of new words and meanings have emerged.Some monosyllabic words form new meanings without generating new words and polysyllabic words produced many new words and meanings.The number of new polysyllabic words and new meanings of polysyllabic words is significantly higher than the monosyllabic words'.The third part is about making textual criticisms and explanations of Qin Bamboo Slips Collected by Yuelu Academy Vol.4.We found and solved some problems about the Chinese character recognition and the text interpretation,the annotations,the interchangeable words and the punctuation and other aspects of Qin Bamboo Slips Collected by Yuelu Academy Vol.4.Additionally,we utilize Qin Bamboo Slips Collected by Yuelu Academy Vol.4 for correcting the Sentence order of Shuihudi Qin Bamboo Slips and the punctuation,annotations of Zhangjaishan Han Bamboo Slips.The fourth part is the supplements and emendations to grand chinese dictionary and unabridged chinese dictionary.In terms of the supplements and emendations of the former,our vocabulary study can supplement new meanings of 29 words and supplement earlier examples of 90 words.Besides,our vocabulary study also can provide example that age is more explicit than the first example of grand chinese dictionary.In terms of the supplements and emendations of the latter,our vocabulary study can supplement 60 new words,new meanings of 22 words and supplement earlier examples of 142 words.
