Study Of The Polysyllabic Words In Qin Bamboo Slips Collected By Yuelu Academy(1-3)

Based on Qin Bamboo Slips Collected by Yuelu Academy(1-3)as research materials.To carry on the exhaustive statistics to its polysyllabic words,contemporaneous study and diachronic comparison method are adopted to analyze and study polysyllabic words.The thesis makes a detailed description of the word formation and syntactic functions of polysyllabic words,and discusses the characteristics of polysyllabic words from both synchronic and diachronic,to reveal the use of polysyllabic words in Qin Bamboo Slips Collected by Yuelu Academy(1-3).A total of 341 polysyllabic words in Qin Bamboo Slips Collected by Yuelu Academy(1-3).The word formation ways of polysyllabic words are divided into phonetic word formation and grammar word formation.Among them,there are 4 phonetic built words,accounting for 1.2%of the total number of polysyllabic words;there are 337 grammar built words,accounting for 98.8%,and being in a dominant position.Among these words,modifying polysyllabic words are the most,totaling 159 and accounting for 46.6%,while the number of joint polysyllabic words is the second most,totaling 143 and accounting for 41.9%.Meanwhile,other ways of word formation have also developed,and the supplemental polysyllabic words has already appeared.The syntactic function of polysyllabic words,analyze and describe the syntactic functions of each word class in notional words and functional words.It is found that nouns are mainly used as subject and object,then as attributive,while rarely as adverbial:Verbs are mainly used as predicate,then as object,rarely as subject and attributive;Adjectives are mainly used as attributive,predicate and adverbial:Pronouns are used as object,predicate and attributive in sentences.Numeral are used as attributive in sentences.In terms of contemporaneous,the ways of polysyllabic words in Qin Bamboo Slips Collected by Yuelu Academy(1-3)are generally complete now,while both the amount of grammar built words and phonetic built words and the quantitative distribution of all kinds of polysyllabic words in grammar word formation are imbalance.In terms of diachronic comparison The number of polysyllabic words in Qin Bamboo Slips Collected by Yuelu Academy(1-3)is basically consistent with the distribution of polyphonic words in pre-qin period,which conforms to the development law of polyphonic words.In terms of word construction,the ways have not yet been perfect now,while the development of polysyllabic words is still at a primary stage,and the supplemental and the subject-predicate type are still at an embryonic stage.
