With the acceleration of economy globalization and information digitization,a prosperous development trend has shown in the international trade of cultural products.Cultural goods have the advantages of high added value, high derivative value, little resource cost and low environmental pollution.Cultural goods trade can not only promote a countrys export growth effectively, but also can help anhance a country's cultural soft power, expanding the country's international influence. Therefore,in recent years, many countries have gradually regarded the development of cultural industry and cultural goods trade as one of their national strategies. It is becoming a new strategic focus of international trade competition. In 2014,the Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Foreign Cultural Trade issued by the State Council proposed the objective that, cultivating a number of export-oriented cultural enterprises with good international competitiveness, producing a group of core cultural products with core competitiveness and building a group of cultural brands with international influence by 2020.The policy indicates the great importance attached on cultural goods export. For the development of cultural goods trade, with a long history,China has rich cultural resources advantages. In recent years, rapid growth of cultural goods export has made China become a major exporter of cultural goods. On this basis,it is necessary to study the internal gurowth structure of China's cultural goods export for seeking a reasonable way can promote the upgrading and transformation of cultural products export mode.In this way,the quality and international influence of export can be enhanced. The dual marginal theory is an important part of the new-new theory based on the heterogeneous firm model. It proposes the opinion that the total trade volume can be decomposed into extensive margin and intensive margin. The trade grows along both the extensive margin and intensive margin. This theory expanded the explanation of trade growth in traditional trade theory, providing a new theoretical framework and research method to study the source and inner structure of China's cultural goods export Therefore, the paper analyzes the dual margins of China's cultural goods export from 2006 to 2015 adopting the methodology of Hummels and Klenow(2005).On this basis, the paper makes an empirical research for China's cultural goods export' influencing factors, according to the theoretical framework of Chaney(2008)and cultural goods' characteristics. Also, the paper takes the financial crisis into influencing factors. Finally, the paper provides some suggestion according to the empirical research results. The core content of this article includes five parts:Chapter one is the introduction. It describes the background and connotation, the general idea and major methods, the related references and the innovation and deficiency.Chapter two mainly includes the relational concepts and theoretical basis. It mainly introduces the different measurement methods of dual margins and the classification of cultural products. The part of theoretical basis mainly analyzes related trade theories and their applicability.Chapter three is the presoent situation of China's cultural goods export and dual margins decompose.Firstly, analyzing the growth status from aspects of export scale, export structure, target markets. The research indicates that,China's cultural goods export kept the trend of increasing. However,it contains some problems, including target markets are too concentrated, exported products are mainly labor-intensive products with low added value. Then it uses the dual margins decomposition method to decompose the growth structure, mainly considering the whole world and the main trade partners. The conclusion indicates that,China's export growth of cultural goods is mainly driven by the intensive margin. The contribution of extensive margin is comparatively limited. It shows that China's cultural goods export is still dominated by "quantity growth".The new products innovation is lacked, which indicates the insufficiency of China's cultural goods international competitiveness.Chapter four is the influencing factors of dual margins in growth of China's cultural goods export Qualitative analysis is adopted firstly to study the influencing factors. Then it introduces the theoretical framework of empirical analysis, selecting the economic scale, geographical distance, cultural distance, productivity, fixed trade cost and institutional quality, financial crisis, common boundary and other variables to make quantitative analysis. The conclusion indicates that the cultural distance, export fixed cost hinder the export~growth through dual margins, and the importers, economic size, institutional quality and the productivity of cultural industry are conducive to promoting the dual margins.Meanwhile, finance crisise effects the intensive margin more, the extensive margin's ability of resisting is better.Chapter five is conclusion and policy recommendations. There are two main innovations in this paper:First, the researches on the export of cultural products in China were based on the study of the total amount of export trade. The researches on export growth structure from the perspective of dual margins are relatively few. This paper studies the internal growth structure of cultural goods export and its influencing factors from the perspective of dual margin method.Second, the researches on influencing factors of China's cultural goods export mainly focused on the cultural distance and other cultural differences factors, but when the export volume is divided into dual margins, the influencing factors included in the dual margins'maturity model should not be ignored. And the previous literature analyses of the impact of the financial crisis very few. This article takes this as a breakthrough mainly considers these important factors in the empirical analysis, and takes the impact of the financial crisis into account.
