The sense of time plays an important role in daily life.It is the foundation of human cognition and behavior.Different from other senses, time perception is not processed by one specific sensory organ, rather all events containing temporal cues that stimulate human brain(Shi&Burr,2016).In other words, the sense of time is multisensory. Moreover, human’s subjective duration judgment is not only based on the physical temporal length, but also affected by many other factors, including external and internal factors. This research mainly focused on how external intentional factors(e.g.,social information and motion)and internal factors induced by agent intention influence the subjective time.Three experiment were conducted in this research.Experiment 1 focused on the influence of external intentional factors, motion and social interaction,on time perception.Specifically,Study 1 manipulated task-irrelevant social interaction containing motion and social information during duration reproduction task. The results revealed motion information,as an external factor, expanded the participants’time perception more significantly than social information under the visual-tactile context. In Experiments 2 and 3,a combination paradigm of intentional binding and chronostasis illusion was used.Consistent with previous studies,we found a significant time compression in the internal binding task(Experiment 2)and a significant time expansion in chronostasis illusion(Experiment 3).Those compression and compression were significant correlated, suggesting a common processing mechanism underlying two phenomena.
