Shang Yang is undoubtedly one of the most "up-to-date" artists among contemporary Chinese artists.From the earliest thematic creations(such as his graduating masterpiece "The Yellow River Boatman")to the later "Grand Scenery"series As well as the Dong Qichang series,which was later in its language proficiency,to the recent series of "Left Mountain and Remaining Water," which spanned nearly four decades.Many works can be said to be living textbooks in the history of contemporary Chinese art.In other words,the value of Shang Yang's research has gone beyond the value of his personal artistic research.On the surface,Shang Yang's artistic style has been changing.However,under the fine study,we find that the artistic career of Shang Yang has been paying attention to the same issue,the issue of man and nature,all the time.It is precisely because he constantly and continuously pays attention to the same issue and thus has a more accurate and profound understanding of the issue of "man and nature."Shang Yang,as an intellectual,shows that intellectuals play a role in answering these questions to man,society,man and nature,and again and again warns people of the problems that they face and will face.Facts prove time and again that he is accurate and sensitive Insight.As an artist,Shang Yang constantly tries new works,new materials and new expressions to show us the human and natural issues we face.The significance of Shang Yang's research lies not only in his unique artistic expression,but more importantly,as an intellectual,an artist's attitude towards culture and social responsibility.This article mainly discusses the artistic process from Shang Yang's style of change,that is,the series of "Grand Scenery",mainly from his works as the starting point,discussing the meaning behind the works and how he expresses his understanding of the relationship between man and society,The concern of man and nature.Roughly speaking,Shang Yang's work mainly expresses the concern about the issue of man and nature.After careful examination,we find that the details of the problems he is concerned with at different periods will be different.Therefore,the thesis is divided into four major Part(mainly divided by its creation period),to be discussed separately.The first part mainly discusses the issues of concern and works presented in several different periods of "Grand Scenery" series.The second part mainly probes into Shang Yang's exploration of cultural reconstruction from the series of "Dong Qichang".The third part discusses Shang Yang's "urgency" nature by analyzing his work "Remaining Water".The fourth part mainly discusses the thinking and enlightenment to myself through the research on Shang Yang.
