The Study Of The Pragmatic Function Of Russian Discourse Modal Particles

As a new research field,the study of the discourse word has been paid more and more attention by many scholars in recent years.Russian scholars have been involved in the researches of the discourse word,but its definition is still controversial.As an important part of the discourse word,the discourse modal particle has important auxiliary meaning in the study of the pragmatic and national characteristics of Russian.In addition,in this information era,people's language habits and the language forms they adopt have been experiencing rapid changes.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the pragmatic functions of Russian discourse modal particles and the new communication patterns.This thesis describes these words from two aspects.On the one hand,combining the domestic and foreign researches on the discourse word,the thesis analyzes the connection between the modal particles and the discourse,and interprets its pragmatic meaning based on present researches;on the other hand,the thesis analyzes the pragmatic features of Russian modal particles and the new pattern of emotional expression,which could possibly enlighten the related researches by Chinese researchers,drawing their attention and interest in the non-traditional forms of the discourse word.On the basis of the theories in Russian linguistics,lexicology and pragmatics,the thesis chooses the sentences in literary works and celebrity speeches as well as from the representative Russian websites and social software as the linguistic data,and adopts several research methods including classification,semantic analysis and induction,to conduct a systematic research on the pragmatic meaning of Russian discourse modal particles words from the perspectives of definition,classification and function.The creativity of this thesis lies in:the redefinition of the concepts of"Discourse" after summary and comparison;the classification of the modal particles under the guidance of relevant pragmatic theories and the multidimensional study of the pragmatic functions of discourse modal particles;the explanation,description and scientific conclusion about the forms and features of the new non-language modal expression.The conclusion of the thesis summarizes the main content of the research and the major views of the thesis,which could be briefly introduced as follows:Firstly,this thesis interprets the concept of "Discourse" as a language phenomenon closely related to texts and contexts.Being multilevel and multidimensional,"Discourse" is composed of communication need,communication space,text generation,speech act and non-language characteristics.Secondly,discourse words include conjunctions,modal particles,interjections,adverbs,pronouns,pronoun adverbs,static words,prepositional structures.etc.,among which the modal particles take a significant position.Discourse modal particles are not only of separate characteristics,but also a language phenomenon based on the discourse.Thirdly,according to their pragmatic functions,the discourse modal particles are divided into four types:modal particles affecting the content of discourse;modal particles affecting the form of discourse;modal particles affecting the context of discourse;modal particles affecting the mood of discourse.Discourse modal particles help readers empathize certain figures in literary works,and help addressees understand the mood and personality of the addressors in specific contexts.Lastly,Computer Discourse and Internet Discourse have become an important part of modern language.The new changes of people's pragmatic habits are mainly embodied in the following five aspects:1)the use of the derived modal particles;2)the use of special modal particles by youth groups;3)the use of foreign modal particles;4)the use of modal particles from films and television programs;5)the use of non-language expression forms,including emojis,punctuations and deformated words,etc.The forms of discourse are inclusive,changeable,creative and imaginative,which is in line with the development trend of times.They are not only a tool for emotional expression,but also imperceptibly influencing people's attitude to life�becoming more humorous and feeling more free to talk.
