On The Study Of The Narrative Art Of "The New Records Of States"

The Records of the States in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty is the most popular and famous historical romance novel after the Romance of the Three Kingdoms.The Records of the States in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty is a commentary version written by Cai Yuan that based on Feng Menglong's "The New Records of States”.The content of the two books is basically the same,so it can be highly praised should be attributed to " The New Records of States” that rewritten by Feng Menglong.At present,the academic research on the new Chronicles of nations mostly focuses on the plot,characters and themes of the novel.When it comes to narration,it often starts from the relationship between the real and the imaginary,which is not conducive to a comprehensive understanding of the artistic achievements of the new Chronicles of nations.In view of this,this paper will analyze the new Chronicles of nations from the perspective of narratology.The paper is divided into four parts:The first part analyzes the background of the new Chronicles of nations.First of all,the turbulent political situation and the thought of progress in the late Ming dynasty led feng menglong to rewrite the annals of the new kingdoms for the purpose of "enlightenment".At the same time,the booming publishing industry has provided a convenient environment for his creation.Secondly,feng menglong has been provided with materials and narrative techniques by numerous historical books and literary works.Thirdly,feng menglong's excellent writing ability and knowledge of the history of the nations have laid the foundation for his rewriting of the new Chronicles of the nations.The second part mainly compares the old and new states from two aspects of guiding ideology and narrative text.The purpose of the survey is to understand feng menglong's reasons for rewriting the biography of the Chronicles of the nations.Secondly,it analyzes feng menglong's rewriting of the biography of the Chronicles of the nations in the text.The third part starts from the perspective of "story" in the concept of narratology.First,it analyzes the second connected part of the new Chronicles of nations,which has a systematic narrative plot unit.Secondly,it discusses the artistic fiction of the new national Chronicles on the basis of records.The fourth part,starting from the "discourse" Angle in the concept of narratology,first discusses the narrative time processing of the new Chronicles of nations,which is mainly based on order and supplemented by time reversal.Secondly,the analysis of the new Chronicles of nations is based on the "total knowledge perspective" and the use of "internal perspective" to add dramatic narrative perspective.Thirdly,discusses the language art of new kingdoms,which is mainly based on the "narrative" language performed in history and supplemented by the interesting "descriptive" language.
