Study On The Composing Techniques Of Kleines Requiem Fur Eine Polka,a Musical Work By Henryk Mikoaj Górecki

Henryk Mikoaj Górecki(1933-2010)is one of the representatives of modern Polish composers.Throughout his career,the composer has had a wide variety of works with wide genres and varied styles.In the early stage of his creation of muscial works,Górecki mainly composed serial music;In the middle stage,the religious music materials were incorporated into his works to form a "sacred" simple style.In the later stage of his creation,he combined Polish folk songs with religious music materials,thus forming a "integrated" simple style.The musical work Kleines Requiem Fur Eine Polka was composed by Górecki after he got an invitation from the Dutch Music Festival in 1993.Based on Polish folk music,the work is a combination of Polka and Requiem with simple melody,concise pitch organization,repetitive development and materials of the Polish folk music.The thesis has an introduction.Chapter one summarizes Górecki’s life and works.Chapter two is the in-depth study of the simple style.Chapter three presents the structure of the work Kleines Requiem Fur Eine Polka.Chapter four is an analysis of the composing techniques of this work.In the fifth chapter,the author makes an in-depth analysis of the allocation of musical instruments used in playing the work.The conclusion is a summary of all chapters and demonstrates in what way the works inherit the chararcteristics of Polish folk music.Górecki has made a benefical attempt to integrate Polish folk music materials and modern composing techiniques into his creation of musical works.With the attempt,Polish folk music has been inherited and developed.The analysis of his work,Kleines Requiem Fur Eine Polka,has provided great enlightenment for me.
