Analysis On Protection And Utilization Of Traditional Folk Houses In Xihe Village, Xin County Of Henan Province

Traditional village,as the root of human social development,and the soul of national culture;it nurtures cities,nourishes the society and pays selflessly.However,compared with city,the investigation and research on traditional village is extremely inadequate,especially the in-depth local practice and the systematic academic discussion.In the face of this challenge,it is a valuable subject on studying how to research,protect and use traditional villages.In recent years,Xihe Village has conducted in-depth research on the protection and utilization of traditional village dwellings,development of rural tourism,and village landscape layout design.Nowadays,the village has maintained a relatively complete spatial layout.It is a traditional village with the characteristic of both modern village and traditional one.The research object of this article is the traditional residential houses of Xihe Village,we try to summarize the historical evolution and architectural features of traditional dwellings through on-the-spot investigations,graphic analysis,and program enhancements to provide suggestions for the protection and development of Xihe Village,at the same time,this article can provides some reference in the development of traditional village in Xihe Village and even xin county.First of all,This article takes the Xin county,where Xihe Village is located,as the start point.Based on the relevant literature,we analyzed the geographical location,climate characteristics,hydrogeology and other factors of xin county,and focused on the history of Xihe Village under the general overview of this area.Through consulting the relevant county records of Xihe Village,we analyzed the layout and natural environment of Xihe Village.Meanwhile in order to present the historical culture of Xihe Village,we analyzed the development of Xihe Village in-depth.then from public buildings(Zhang's Ancestral Hall,Cereals and Oils Museum,Ancient Fengyang Cafe,Cereals and Oils Museum Restaurant)and residential buildings(architectural and customs etiquette,architectural structure characteristics,Theconstruction of arts and craftsmanship).we made an integral and local summary of architecture in Xihe Village.In the end,we refined the method of protection and utilization of traditional residential houses,and proposed assumption based on current development status.The conclusion of this paper shows that the traditional houses in Xihe Village are a combination of traditional and modern samples,inherit craftsmen's wisdom of traditional culture,and reveal the artistic features of natural harmony: the protection and utilization of the dwellings should be constructed on a macro scale,microscopically To enhance the living environment of residents,and at the same time strengthen the villagers' awareness of the protection of traditional villages,and prohibit the destruction of buildings and unreasonable development and construction strictly.This dissertation is one of the phased results of the national-level major research project “Study on the Status Quo and Development of Ethnic Traditional Arts and Crafts in the Process of Urbanization”.This sub-project provide basic information for the protection and development of traditional villages based on a large number of field researches on specific villages.
