Research On Modification Of Orchestration Techniques In The Orchestral Works Of Han Lankui

This article takes six symphonies of Lankui Han as research object.He blends Chinese traditional music elements with Western composing techniques to form his own unique music style.This article will analyze the instrumentation and orchestration used by him in detail.This article is divided into four chapters.The first part introduces Lankui Han and his band pieces in order to make the inevitability of his orchestral style understood.The second part discusses the band composition and the instruments of his pieces minutely.The third part analyses the characteristics of timbre in the horizontal music layout of the band pieces from multiple angles,thus exhibiting how he used different combinations of timbres to create music in-depth.The fourth section discusses how he writes textures in respect of the vertical music structure of his band pieces detailedly.Lankui Han used classical writing features of music in orchestration.Meanwhile,he added the techniques of modern music composition to reach a balance.He has his own unique technique and style of orchestration in the field of orchestration,which not only gives full play to the musical expression of orchestra,but also embodies the nationalized music language in his music.The article provides some clues and theoretical values to fully understand Lankui Han's orchestral pieces.
