A Brief Analysis Of The Era And Nationality By Wang Jianmin's Erhu Works

The art of erhu has developed in a period of innovation from the end of 20 th century to the beginning of 21 st century,Wang Jianmin was one of the notable performers who contributed great innovative erhu works.He was known for his virtuosity on many compositions and arrangements include Tianshan Feng Qing(Tianshan amorous feelings)and the Third Erhu Rhapsody.Thus in this paper I will discuss “the national spirits and the sense of era” by analyzing these two works.This paper is divided into three parts.The first part is a brief introduction to Wang and his genre of erhu music.In the second part,I will analyze Tianshan Feng Qing and the Third Erhu Rhapsody from aspects,such as national music characteristics,contemporary techniques,and innovative playing skills,and explore the artistic characteristics of the two western region styled works.In the third part,evaluating his bold application of modern techniques and his successful practice of music style on the basis of cultural cognition of Western Reign.Furthermore,I will elaborate “the national spirits and the sense of era” of his works,which show the feasibility of combining the modern and traditional traits,and also the national and the other parts of world.
