Comparative Analysis Of Chinese And Slovak Euphemisms

Although Chinese and Slovak language have their own different characteristics,but in a certain expressing way,they also have some similarities.In every day life,while having a conversation,people can come across some embarrassing and inconvenient content.When they come to those taboo issues,euphemisms can make the interpersonal communication more open and polite.As a foreigner living in China,the author of this thesis understood the great importance of cultural aspect in interpersonal communication,thus made the comparative analysis on euphemisms in Chinese and Slovak language.Author first used analysing literature method: after collecting and understanding the materials was used analysing method,thus similarities and differences might be understood,which is the main goal of this paper.This article is divided into five parts: the first part introduces the basic background situation of the euphemisms,purpose and significance of the article itself,and makes a research of the situation in China and Slovakia;the second part describes the theoretical basis of the relevant definition of euphemism,origin and classification;the third part approach the comparative analysis of the pragmatic functions and classification of the three aspects of Chinese and Slovak euphemisms;the fourth part describes the teaching position and role of the euphemism in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language;the fifth part compiles the teaching materials to make the best method for studying Chinese euphemisms,including Chinese textbook or classroom teaching.
