The Southern Song Dynasty was an important period for Zeng Gong's prose "canonization".In the Southern Song Dynasty,it was acknowledged that most of the scholars who proposed Zeng Gong's prose had a prominent Neo-Confucianism background.Zeng Gong's prose has been set up as a model of literary creation and ideological culture. The monographs and papers on Zeng Gong's prose have not appeared yet. This paper attempts to sort out the acceptance of Zeng Gong's prose by Neo-Confucianism in Southern Song Dynasty and the canonization of Zeng Gong's prose. In order to truly reproduce Zeng Gong's position in the literary world of the Southern Song Dynasty,to explore the root of his listing in the "Eight proses masters of Tang and Song dynasties".and explore the cause of the decline of Zeng Gong's study today. The main body of the thesis is divided into four parts:The first part: the intrinsic quality of Zeng Gong's prose. The canonization of Zeng Gong's prose is inseparable from its intrinsic quality, including the Confucianism, the rigorous aesthetic interest and the peace of mind, which is decided by Zeng Gong's family and life fate. The second part: the external factors of Zeng Gong's prose including the acceptance of the Neo-Confucianism in the Southern Song Dynasty,The compilation and publication of the selected works, etc.Zhu Xi's high evaluation of Zeng Gong was a direct opportunity for him to be elected to the "Eight proses masters of Tang and Song dynasties." other philosophers, such as Chen Zongli,Lu Jiuyuan,Ye Shi,and Huang Zhen, also accepted and evaluated Zeng Gong's prose. The third part: the new features of Zeng Gong's prose acceptance and its canonization. In the course of promoting Zeng Gong's prose canonization, the Southern Song Dynasty is a very important period. Its importance is not only reflected in the emergence of Zeng Wen's anthology. It is also manifested inthe new characteristics formed by the Neo-Confucianism in the Southern Song Dynasty in accepting Zeng Gong's prose, which is different from the acceptance of Zeng Gong by ancient writers in the Northern Song Dynasty. The Neo-Confucianism of Southern Song Dynasty has deeply appraised Zeng Gong's prose art experience. The embryonic form of "Eight proses masters of Tang and Song dynasties" was laid by Lu Zuqian.other important selections of the Southern Song Dynasty which are selections of Zeng Gong's prose,It further strengthens the influence and authority of Zeng Gong's prose and lays an important foundation for his classics.Part 4th: Zeng Wen's acceptance and its significance of canonization. The acceptance of Zeng Gong's Prose in Yuan,Ming and Qing dynasties is a continuation of Zeng Gong's acceptance in the Southern Song Dynasty. The image of Zeng Gong's "Neo-Confucianism" also began in the Southern Song Dynasty.By the Qing Dynasty,Zeng Gong's image of "Neo-Confucianism" had been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, and the booster of the image of Zeng Gong in the Yuan,Ming and Qing dynasties was precisely the cause of Zeng Gong's loss in modern times. The classical course of Zeng Gong's prose,It has a profound influence on the formation of the concept of the Eight proses masters of Tang and Song dynasties.
