“Confucius Sanctuary Map” is a comic book depicting the life story of Confucius.It is also the earliest existing comic book with complete storyline in Chinese history.The work displays the most important historical deeds in Confucius' s life through a vivid and intuitive way.It promotes Confucianism and Confucius' s noble character and principle of handling affairs.It is a picture scroll showing Confucius' ideology,artistry,and history.This thesis takes Qiu Ying's "Confucian Stylist Map" as the object of study.The first part of the introduction elaborates the research status,research purpose,significance and research methods of the paper.In the second part,the initiation and evolution of Confucius' St.Traces map are simply arranged,and their versions are integrated.The third part analyzes the background of the appearance of Qiu Ying's "Confucian Sanctity Map".It mainly discusses from the background of the age of Qiu Ying's life and the prosperity of narrative pictures.In the fourth part,starting from Qiu Ying's "Confucian Stylist Map",he interprets the pictures and inscriptions of his works,and analyzes Qiu Ying's painting techniques,artistic creations,and friendships.In the fifth part,comparing Qiu Ying with Zhang Yi and Anonymous “The Confucius Sanctuary Map”,compared with other versions,Qiu Ying's “Confucius Sanctity Map” is a more comprehensive one in terms of technique and content expression form.Works,its content is a profound expression of the function of art education.The sixth part mainly analyzes the enlightenment function of art embodied in Qiu Ying's "The Confucius Sanctuary" from the three aspects of exhortation,entertaining and setting up the world.The conclusions of the "Confucian St.Traces" and its influence on later generations are summarized in the conclusions.
