A Study On Ge Xing Of The Four Great Poets In The Yuan Dynasty

The Four Great Poets in the Yuan Dynasty are important representative writers of Ge Xing in the Yuan Dynasty.They have created more than 230 pieces of Ge Xing,have great influence on the poetry circle in the mid-Yuan period,and have high research value.But the studies on them are relatively fragmented.This thesis is divided into four parts.It aims to make a systematic and in-depth exposition of the concept of Ge Xing,theme content and art skills of their works,trying to clarify the role and influence of the four people in the development history of Ge Xing.The first chapter is mainly to review the development and evolution of Ge Xing.The word "Ge Xing" comes from Yuefu.Ge Xing really achieves the independent status of poetry in the Tang and Song dynasties.Compared with the Tang and Song dynasties,people in the Yuan Dynasty clearly regards it as one kind of the poems.Their books of poetics and poetry anthology have a rational discussion of the nature and artistic characteristics of Ge Xing,which cover all the content of Ge Xing and have a positive significance for the development of the construction history of it.At the same time,the Yuan Dynasty is an important place in the history of the writing of Ge Xing as well.Almost every poetry collection in the Yuan Dynasty has Ge Xing creation,which is highly historical and culturally valuable.The second chapter outlines the origin of the Tang Dynasty created by works of the four people.The main sources of the creation come from Li Bai and Du Fu,which are embodied in the obvious imitation and direct borrowing of Li and Du’s poetic composition,artistic technique and words.Compared with Li Bai,four people tend to learn more from Du Fu ’s Ge Xing.It is a literary history that is worth paying attention to.Under the influence of the multi-cultural and elegant poetic style of the mid-Yuan Dynasty,the four people are able to adapt,showing certain innovative characteristics in the art of the language of the songs and the quaint demure of emotions.The third chapter is about the classification of the content of the poetry of four-players.This chapter divides the theme of the poetry into four parts: worrying about the people’s livelihood,complimentary poem,writing calligraphy and painting,folk customs.Among them,the discussion focuses on the theme of complimentary poem.They rarely express sadness.What they care about is the encouragement of the sender’s future behavior,which breaks through the personal-centered framework of the Tang and Song Dynasty works and has unique style in the similar poems.The fourth chapter mainly focuses on the artistic features of Ge Xing of the four people from five aspects,namely,title making,lyric style,narrative techniques,text syntax and rhetoric technique.Four people create more self-proclaimed titles,and the number of poem inscriptions shows a certain trend of expansion.Most of their typical poems are written from the perspective of the first person,with distinct subjectivity.A lot of works have adopted metaphor,reduplicate,consecutive rhetoric.The fifth chapter is a comparative study of Ge Xing of the four people.In terms of content,artistic technique,they have different characteristics.The theme of Jie Xisi realism is more objective and rational.But Fan Peng usually seeks hope from the court to help people in danger,so his motion is relatively moderate.The works of Yang Zai and Jie Xisi are used to show their ambition of success,and it is difficult to develop emotional space.Compared with Jie Xisi and Yu Ji,Fan Pengg’s poems repeatedly express the sigh of seclusion,which arises spontaneously after the setback of official career and is not readable.In the matter of creation style,Yang Zai pays too much attention to poetic skills,his works often show the mark of axe chisel and lack of fresh and natural interest.Yu Ji’s poems are elegant in style and seldom scattered in words,which is totally different with Fan Pengg’s poems.In the part of the remainder,the creative viewpoint of them in Yuan poetry in terms of both fixation and change also provides a reference space for poets in Ming and Qing dynasties,which has a certain demonstration significance.
