A Study On Formation History Of Lenin's Thought Of Science And Technology

With the rapid development of society, people's capability of utilizing advanced science and technology has improved continuously. Seen from a historical point of view, there is a close correlation between the development of human society and science and technology. The greater scientific and technological progress is, the greater influence it will exert on social economy, politics and culture. Science and technology provides man with effective means for knowing and reforming the objective world, which served as an essential symbol of continuous progress in human society and human civilization, and is regarded as the theme and connotation of times development and its inevitable requirement. Lenin's thought of science and technology is derived from the proletariats' practice in understanding and transforming the world through employing the knowledge of science and technology, based on critically inheritance of predecessors'ideological basis and experience of Soviet Russia, which therewith established and developed through people's practice of science and technology. Lenin has attached great importance to the development of science and technology throughout his whole life, his thought of science and technology has kept its momentum of innovation and development all the way through the practice of socialism, therefore, different historical periods have been endowed with different contents.Lenin has illustrated the significant influence that science and technology could exert on the promotion of social change through a large number of works after the October Revolution in 1917, which has enriched the theory of Marxist philosophy objectively. After the October Revolution, with the development of Lenin's thoughts and its combination with realistic social practice, Lenin has elaborated his theory from perspectives such as the crucial role of science and technology as well as scientists and technological experts in promoting all-round social progress, which has laid a solid foundation of the ideological basis in the rise of the Soviet union.Lenin's thought of science and technology, as one component of the reservoir of his whole thoughts, is of great significance to the establishment of scientific framework in theoretical and practical aspects, providing essential reference and enlightenment on the development of science and technology in the countries with relatively lower integrative development level of social economy and civilization. In a word, this study makes a relatively thorough interpretation of Leninism, broadening the analyzing scope of Lenin's thoughts, deepening the understanding of Lenin's thought of science and technology, providing important guidance and shedding light on practical implications on the development and utilization of science and technology in countries which are still in the primary stage of socialism.This thesis is organized into four parts, Part One begins with a brief presentation of Lenin's thought of science and technology, illustrates its historical and theoretical background.Part Two focuses on the preliminary stage of Lenin's thought of science and technology, mainly discusses Lenin's philosophical view, thought of science and technology within domains of theory of imperialism and theory of state. Part Three contributes to illustrating the establishment and development stages of Lenin's thought of science and technology throughout the socialism construction period, which mainly contains Lenin's perceptions, perspectives and policy toward technical personnel and scientific education, his guiding ideology in the New Economic Policy.Part Four comes to the conclusion of Lenin's thoughts of science and technology in his twilight years. Part Five comes to the conclusion of the whole thesis, which analyzes the contemporary value of Lenin's thought of science and technology.
