Study On National Work And Its Basic Experience Of Hunan Province Since Reform And Opening

China is a unified multi-ethnic country. National work has a great effect on national reunification, ethnic unity and social stability, as well as stability of the state and the prosperity of the Chinese nation. From the date of the establishment, Communist Party of China has always attached great importance to the national work with unremitting exploration and hard work. Hunan Province is a gathering of minority province, doing the national work well has extraordinary significance. Since reform and opening, Hunan Province, under the correct leadership of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, to implement the Party's ethnic policies, has planned and carried out the national work comprehensively based on the actual minorities in Hunan Province.After the founding of new China, People's Power in Ethnic Areas of Hunan Province set up, and the Hunan provincial government set up a National Commission of Hunan Province and National Work at all levels to manage national affairs. Thereafter, Hunan Province ethnic and political work, national economy and national culture work flourished and other work carried out. However, during the decade of the Cultural Revolution, Hunan national work has been greatly damaged.After the Third Plenum, our party has set things right, make the national development work back on track. Keeping up with the pace of the party, Hunan Province starts the national work on politic, economy and social affairs. In the past thirty years, Hunan has basically completed its national component identification. Taking ethnic areas and economic development as the core, it carried out poverty alleviation and development of the Western region, strengthening and perfecting the national legal system and the system of regional ethnic autonomy. It poled great development of culture, education, health care, health and other social undertakings in minority areas had made remarkable achievements on the road of people of all nationalities working together for common prosperity and development.Hunan national work has got great achievements after the reform and opening up, but we must clearly realize that some of the difficulties still exit. For example, the development of ethnic minority areas is still in a low level, infrastructure cannot keep up with development,poverty reduction task is still arduous and so on. Hunan nation must constantly sum up experiences and continue to uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China uphold and improve the regional ethnic autonomy, taking economic construction as the center, using the regional specialties to do poverty alleviation and development. We must fully aware of the nature of national work "long-term, complexity, importance ". We should address the issue and resolve the problem, push the national unity and progress forward.
