Study On Legal Issues Of Establishing Professional Liability Insurance For Construction Supervision

With the increasing number of professional liability disputes of engineering supervision in China, our country urgently needs to bring in e ngineering supervision professional liability insurance system to ease the engineering supervision disputes, and transfer the risk of supervision engineer. This article propose to providing basic suggestions for constructing and consummating the legal systems of professional liability insurance for construction supervision based on detailed content, legislation and judicatory practice.First, it makes a brief overview of professional liability insurance for construction supervision and introducing the concept and feature of professional liability insurance for construction supervision. Second it introduces the necessity and feasibility of constructing the legal system of professional liability insurance for construction supervision in our country which is laid the foundation for our country’s professional liability insurance for construction supervision. Last, the paper probes into the legal regulation of professional liability insurance for construction supervision in other country and gives advice on constructing the legal system of professional liability insurance for construction supervision by analyzing our reality including the choice of legislation frameworks, design of detailed content and matches systems.
