Study Of The Late Democratic Thought About Chen Duxiu

Democracy is the cornerstone of reform in the administrative system and the political development. Each session of the party and state leaders in our country had always placed great emphasis on the democracy. Our party at the beginning of the revolution and socialist construction in our country fully aroused the enthusiasm of the people, democracy construction had achieved remarkable results. But, because of the influence of the Soviet revolution and construction mode, our party in the proletarian revolution and socialist construction period presented some left-leaning wrong thought, the socialism in our country suffered serious setbacks. As the third plenary session corrected the path of the class struggle, the construction of democratic politics in our country started on the right track. The people's congress system, grass-roots mass self-government system, the communist party of the multi-party cooperation and political consultation system enriched the contents of the socialist democratic politics with Chinese characteristics, brought vitality to the democratic construction of our country. But the current socialist democratic construction still have some problems, these problems express obviously in primary area of China How to properly solve the democratic dilemma is beneficial to social harmony and stability in Chinese primary area.CHEN Duxiu had brought the advanced science and democratic ideas to people in the 20th century, and created a service for the poor people of the communist party of China, he made irreplaceable contribution to think and explore the Chinese development road. CHEN Duxiu pursued democracy in his whole life, his concept changed several times. Especially the democratic thought of his old age, as summary of the Soviet experience, until now has a profound significance in China. Among the east early communist party leaders, CHEN Duxiu is the earliest one who reflected and criticized Soviet mode deeply. Chen Duxiu rejected Comintern's method that entirely according experience and model of the Soviet revolution to guide the practice of Chinese revolution and criticized the highly centralized and Stalin's personal authoritarian political system. The democratic thought in his old days contains the connotation and principle of democracy, the relationship of proletarian democracy and bourgeois democracy, the mass democracy and the inner-party democracy etc. Because of limited time environment and CHEN Duxiu's personal reasons, CHEN Duxiu's old age democracy thought inevitably has its sidedness. This article elaborates the cause and main content of CHEN Duxiu's democratic thought, Based on the above analysis, on one hand, through the analysis of the Soviet revolution and construction patterns for the influence of the process of our socialist revolution and construction, further emphasized the value of advocating independent revolutionary road in CHEN Duxiu's later democratic thought. On the other hand, By studying Chen Duxiu's criticism of the Soviet centralized system, the author analyzes the necessity of the democracy of socialism and the importance of mass democracy. Finally, the author combined with the current status of the democracy at the grassroots level in our country and sum up the reality enlightenment of CHEN Duxiu's democratic thought. Such as, advocating freedom of speech, developing the public participation, perfecting the grass-roots democratic election and democratic need effective coordination with the rule of law.
