Empirical Study On Community Social Capital In Rural Areas

In traditional rural society, network on the basis of blood, geopolitical, and relatives is the major form of social capital. Relationship is still the main way to get the scarce resources. However, the market mechanism began to affect the person's ideas and behaviors. The development of market economy has destroyed the original pattern. Interest exchange of society replaced the original "family type" gift. The various problems in rural have damaged the people's survival rights and interests. So the people are indifference to the government which has reduced the unity and cohesion of the whole society. Community social capital includes trust, cooperation, mutual benefit and the sense of belonging which plays a significant role in the development of the country. It is the response of the CPC central committee to attach the importance of the community social capital research to solve problems from practice.In this paper, the writer puts LvWang village as the research site and uses the questionnaire survey to understand the social capital's situation in five aspects of community participation, mutual sharing, cooperation, belonging and trust and analyses the reason of the community social capital changed, and then put forward the strategies to restructure the community social capital. The article is divided into four parts:the first part mainly is the introduction part, including background and research significance, the theory and show the concept definition and so on. The second chapter is to clarify the problems in five aspects. The third chapter is the analysis of the affecting factors from individuals, families, communities, social four aspects. The last chapter is put forward the strategy of community social capital reconstruction from the political, economic and cultural three aspects.As a common village, the study of the LvWang village community social capital, on the one hand, can promote the localization of social capital theory. On the other hand, it is instructive to solve the problems in the process of new rural construction using the theory of social capital.
