A Study Of The Ideological And Political Work Of Peasants In Western Fujian Revolutionary Base(1929-1934)

The ideological and political work of peasants in Western Fujian revolutionary base develops on the basis of the establishment of Western Fujian Soviet Area. It serves for the war in the circumstance of the revolutionary war. In the process of developing the ideological and political work of peasants, the government of Western Fujian Soviet Area not only gives a widespread Marxism-Leninism and communism education, but also strongly publicizes the policies and guidelines of the Party. Meanwhile, it has abolished the constraints of feudal thoughts on the peasants and enhanced their class consciousness so that they can serve the revolution better. In addition, combining the characteristics of the peasants in western Fujian, the Party develops an anti-illiteracy campaign of revolutionary significance. Taking full advantage of periodicals, dramas, paintings, textbooks and slogans, the Party organizes different groups to develop ideological and political work of all sorts. Although Western Fujian revolutionary base only exist for several years, its ideological and political work has greatly enhanced the ideological and political awareness of the peasants in western Fujian, inspired their revolutionary enthusiasm and promoted the revolutionary development of western Fujian. This thesis analyzes the theoretical significance and realistic value of the ideological and political work in Western Fujian Soviet Area to the rural ideological and political work of the new era.
