The History And Reality Of Syria Kurds Problem:Study Of Inter-Ethno-National Politics And Nationalism Practice

Syria Kurds problem has long been deeply affects the Syria's national construction and social stability. Syria Kurds problem originated from the period of French mandate in Syria, and it became highlighted gradually since the 1950s and early 1960s, the government of Syria Baath party gradually formed assimilation policy to Syria Kurds. Syria outbreak of large-scale anti-government demonstrations since 2011 and intensified army conflict as civil war way, Kurdish militants growing rapidly in the Syria Kurdish region which state power got into vacuum. Syria has formed plural forces structure which composed of Syria government, anti-government forces and Kurdish militants and so on, the solution of Syria Kurds problem in the future is not clear currently.This dissertation is divided into three chapters. Firstly, It analyzes the general development of the Syria Kurds problems as historical perspective, meanwhile it analyzes the main content of Syria Kurds problem comprehensively and highlights the Kurds'national appeal. Secondly, it makes a historical analysis of Syria Kurds problem according to the internal affecting variables factor, and it analyzes the inner impetus of Syria Kurds problem from the national policy, nationalism and party politics perspective. Finally, It analyzes the influence of external environment variable factors to the Syria Kurds problem which the analysis bases on the perspective of cross-border politics and international politics, especially the political role of Turkey and Iraq's Kurdish movement to the Syria Kurds politics.The Syria Kurds problem is one ethnic politics and ethnic relations typical case in Syria, it reflects some difficulties and contradictions of the transition of Syria from a concept of cultural entity to a nation-state process. Because of the the solution of Syria Kurds problem is not clear currently, there are three variables are relations to the solution of problem. One is the relations between Syria Kurdish parties, the other is Syria Kurdish power's foreign strategy, and the third is geopolitics and international politics of uncertain change in the future which will affect the Syria Kurds politics.
