The Internet Mobilization Of Community Owners' Collective Action

With the housing system reforming, Structural contradictions of community have become increasingly apparent. "Trouble room" incidents with developers and property owner companies become more and more frequent. For the popularity of the Internet makes the mobilization of collective action online easier, collective community action occurs easier and more frequently. Based on the three dimensions of "opportunity structure", "the framework of the process", "mobilizing structures" in collective action theory, the research focus on a right issue of a community in Fuzhou, using the text and participatory observation research methods, to analysis the mechanism of the Internet mobilization and the occurring of the collective action of the owners under the condition of internet. this research also tries to figure out the role of the internet playing in the formation of the owners collective action, and the characteristics of the concerned individuals.The study finds that during the transition period, the relative weakness and the compression of the realistic system space result in collective action. Firstly, Internet, as a tool and main field for mobilization, penetrating into the macro opportunity and power, breaking the country's information control, creates the political opportunity for collective actions; Secondly, the dissemination and interaction of text information in the cyberspace give the rights issue "meaning construction" by cultivating potential actors^ give meaning to action collective action?and improving the actors' collective identity and will; Finally, the Internet constructs organizational relations, communications networks, inside and outside resource mobilization structure, under the action logic of organization and mobilization and communication and practice, achieving the effective participation of actors. Consisting of the opportunity, words and actions, mobilization ultimately makes the owners' activism from "online " to "offline".
