With the improvement of people's living standards,the car ownership has increased rapidly,and urban traffic congestion problem is becoming more and more serious.Faced with traffic congestion problems in Beijing,goverment puts forward the policy of limit line.Whether the limit line is advocated or not,it is undeniable that the current car ownership in Beijing has reached a saturation point,and it still has a tendency to continue increasing,and this also means that Beijing city traffic congestion phenomenon will become more and more serious.In view of this situation,this paper puts forward the research questions:what factors contribute to the rapid growth of car ownership in Beijing?How does the rapid growth of car ownership affect traffic congestion in Beijing.The first part of this paper discusses the overall situation of the rapid development of car ownership in Beijing,which is roughly divided into two major points:the development process of Beijing's car ownership and the present situation of Beijing's car ownership;Then it analyzes the reasons for the rapid growth of car ownership in Beijing.By collecting a large number of relevant data,the paper uses factor analysis to quantitatively analyze the various quantifiable factors that affect the car ownership in Beijing.Then according to the results of quantitative analysis,and macroeconomic policy(auto industry policy,the development of automobile market),social factors(car use low cost,transport infrastructure is not perfect),it qualitatively analyzes of the reasons of the rapid growth of car ownership.The second part mainly analyzes the impact of the rapid growth of Beijing's car ownership on urban traffic congestion,which can be divided into two aspects.The first aspect analyzes the mechanism of the influence of car ownership on Urban Traffic by the tragedy of Commons model.Because of excessive use of vehicles,the phenomenon of excessive use of road resources will occur,which will lead to road congestion,traffic accidents,automobile exhaust and other negative externalities.Frequent traffic accidents and parking problems,in turn,will further exacerbate the current situation of traffic congestion.The second aspect anlyzes the influence of the rapid growth of the car ownership on the traffic congestion.it analyzes the contradiction between the vehicle and the road,which is the direct cause of traffic congestion.hen taking Losangeles as an example,the paper anlaysed the contradiction between the concrete analysis of automobile,road and traffic congestion.lt alerts that Beijing should refuse to choose"spread to city car development" of the road,and easing traffic congestion should change the road demand structure rather than increase road supply,guiding residents to choose green buses,bicycles and traffic patterns walk.The article concludes that it should limit the rapid development of Beijing's car ownership by means of economic leverage,macro-control,human education and other means,in order to provide a reasonable basis for solving traffic congestion.
