Analysis And Countermeasures Of Traffic Congestion In Yantai City

With the continuous development of the economy and society,the process of urbanization is accelerated,and the problem of traffic congestion arises at the historic moment.In essence,traffic congestion is a cumulative problem in urban development planning,overall construction,institutional policies and traffic structure,which is a concentrated result in the terminal link of the road.Roads are like the blood vessels of a city,while traffic congestion is like "blood clots",which will not only lead to high social,economic and time costs,but also make the city "sick",disturbing the daily life of urban residents seriously and reducing the sense of gain and satisfaction.Nowadays,local governments have gradually realized the seriousness of the problem of traffic congestion,and put the management of traffic congestion on the important agenda to look for solutions.Starting from the concepts related to traffic problems,this paper first summarizes the research results on traffic congestion management at home and abroad,and it summarizes the current traffic situation in Yantai City.Then,through the way of questionnaire survey,this paper statistics and understands the opinions of Yantai citizens on the current traffic situation and other issues,and analyses the characteristics of residents’ travel.The paper makes a detailed analysis of the causes of traffic congestion in Yantai from five aspects:road,network,vehicle,human and comprehensive management.Finally,according to the actual development of Yantai,countermeasures and suggestions are put forward from the aspects of scientific planning of urban traffic,improving the capacity of road network,regulating the number of road cars,advocating the concept of green travel,and strengthening comprehensive traffic management.In 2018,Yantai ranked 22nd in the national traffic congestion cities,and the degree of congestion was very serious.The natural landform features of coastal belt distribution,the lack of forward-looking urban traffic planning,the rapid growth of motor vehicle ownership,the slowly development of intelligent traffic and other factors are continuing accumulate,leading to the continuous deterioration of road traffic in Yantai.If targeted measures cannot be taken in time to alleviate the situation,the consequences will be unimaginable.Therefore,it is urgent to solve the problem of traffic congestion in Yantai.
