A Research On The Validity Of The Cognitive Comprehensive Test To Detect Innocent Person

The psychological test technology suffers a tortuous and arduous development course from the theory research to laboratory research and to the practical application.Since the creation of the technology,there are a variety of test methods that are invented and applied to this technology by both at home and abroad.But the test validity differs due to the different methods.Currently,the methods of detecting the innocent person could be roughly divided into the following three types: one is the control question test1,which is used to compare the intensity of the subject's skin conductance response between the control questions and the related questions,and to judge the subject whether lie and involve the case.However,the research finds that this method not only makes the guilty person's psychological physiology produce abnormal reaction on the related questions of the case,but also the innocent person does,which leads to make false positive test results.The second method is the guilt knowledge test2,later known as the concealed information test.3The method is used to detect the subject whether he or she knows about the criminal case's detailed information,in other words,it is based on the subject whether owns the cognition to judge he or she involve the case.But the survey discovers that some innocent person may learn about the case information through different ways in different degrees,which leads to produce abnormal reaction on the target questions(related or key questions)and make false positive test results to judge the subject be criminal.The third method is the cognitive comprehensive test.4 This method is invented by Wu Boxin and Fan Gang and applied it into the practice nearly thousands of real cases,which shows good practical test results in detecting the criminal and eliminate the innocent person.It makes up for the deficiencies of the control question test and the guilt knowledge test.While how the cognitive comprehensive test's validity of detecting and eliminating the innocent person is still lack of corresponding laboratory research support.Therefore,the research adopts the paradigm mocking-crime and mocking-bribery in laboratory situations and applies the cognitive comprehensive test method to compile test questions as the material,which aims to inspect this method distinguishthe test accuracy and the characteristics of the map between the groups' subjects of the criminal and the innocent.And then the author analyze and evaluate the test validity of the cognitive comprehensive test to detect and eliminate the innocent person and further to verify the method's scientificity,reliability and veracity.The conclusions are listed as follows:1.The cognitive comprehensive test can effectively identify the subjects of the criminal group,the innocent-reading group and the innocent-hearing group.And the accuracy rate of the three groups are all more than 85%.2.The subjects of the criminal groups' skin conductance response to the target questions and comprehensive scores are significantly higher than the subjects of the innocent-reading group and the innocent-hearing group.3.The innocent-reading group's intensity of skin conductance response to the target questions and comprehensive scores are significantly higher than the innocent-hearing group.
