As the essence of human ideological history,Marxism plays a prominent role in academic circle guiding us both in thought and practice.The thoughts put forward by Marx in his later life are discussed and researched by a wide range of scholars;while among those discussion and researches,misunderstandings are not rare to see.In this essay,valuable materials including important notes,letters as well as comments written by Marx are cited,and thoughts in his old age are gathered and sorted out.Besides,the practical significance of those thoughts are discussed.Thoughts conceived in his old age vary greatly from his early thoughts.He put aside the writing of Volume II,On Wealth and turned to reading literature on anthropology and human history writing down a great number of notes which are called as The Manuscript of Anthropology and The Manuscript of Historical Studies in modern times.In this essay,Marx's conception on the future of Russia is taken as the start point and people's misunderstandings to his thoughts are ironed out,in which process,the position and the significance of those thoughts are discussed comparing with early thoughts.Moreover,the constructive guiding significance of those thoughts to modern Chinese society is analyzed.
