Andrew Dobson, the professor of British Open University,is one of the famous scholars on European and American ecopolitics theory research, and his book "GREEN POLITICAL THOUGHT" has been a classic of Ecocommunalism.Firstly, this thesis talks about the origin and inner motive of Dobson's thought, then analyses his main thoughts.Among his main ideas, ecopolitics is put foward as a constructively independent consciousness concept and its core idea is environment itself. The author also discusses why Ecological doctrine could be an independent consciousness.Meanwhile,Dobson gives us a new concept of managing environment. He differs the Ecological and environmentalism and analyses them in a dialectic way.He points out that only combining the Ecological doctrine's principal and the environmentalism's flexibility can curb the serious ecological issues.Besides, this thesis analyses Dobson's green reformation thought, which contains that dealing with technology in a green glass and replacing desire with necessity and constructing ecological zone. This thesis is made up of six parts.Chapter one talks about the research'background, meaning, status home and abroad, methods and innovative ideas;chapter two mainly analyses the origin and bases of Dobson's notion;chapter three expounds Dobson's ecologicalism and his green reformation idea;chapter four is the comments on Dobson's thought;chapter five discusses the meaning of Dobson's thought and the last chapter concludes the thesis.
