China is a united multi-ethnic country,2010 sixth national population census data show that China's ethnic minority population has reached 106 million.On national issues and national work has always focus on the attitude,in the social reform and development of practice,constantly marxist national theory with the reality of our country,explore the national work road with Chinese characteristics.But with the deepening of the reform and development of the socialist market economy,China's urban ethnic relations has also been gradually changed,there are new characteristics and new urban ethnic work problems.To promote the further development of urban ethnic work smoothly,carries on the summary and the adjustment on the current urban ethnic work.Based on this,this article in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region as an example,the use of normative research and empirical research methods,the actuality of urban ethnic work in Inner Mongolia autonomous region,the analysis of existing problems and reasons,put forward the path selection of urban ethnic work.This article first introduced the reason of my choice and research value,and combed the related research of this topic,scholars both at home and abroad this paper expounds the article,the research method and innovation points and deficiencies,etc.Under the support of the theory of regional national autonomy,government function theory and the theory of fairness and justice,political stability theory,analysis the national work,the urban national work,etc.After analyzed the current status of urban ethnic work in Inner Mongolia autonomous region,this paper discusses the current problems that exist in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region to promote urban ethnic work and the reasons,mainly includes:safeguard the rights and interests of urban ethnic minorities,building a harmonious ethnic relations,halal food problem management,the reason mainly includes:concept,the rule of law construction,urban ethnic work socialization.Finally,the article puts forward the Suggestions for the further development of urban ethnic work,mainly includes:the legal system construction,work shift,the long-term mechanism construction,multiple subject participation,mutual embedded community construction.
