The Impaction Of Corruption On Political Trust

At present,the level of China's political trust level is in a leading position among the world,but in the domestic situation,public's political trust is in a declining trend.Through the studies of two kinds of national survey data,this study found that the corruption has a negative serious impact on political trust,which means the more government agencies'corrupt actions,the lower public's political trust on government and its officials.Therefore,corruption as the independent variable of this paper to explore its influence on the political trust of the Chinese,and divides it into three dimensions:local government corruption perception,central government corruption perception and public's corruption experiences.The study finds that there is an inverse relationship between corruption and political trust,that is:the more government institution and its officials' corrupt actions,the lower public's political trust on government institutions.Not only that,the influence of public's corruption perception and corruption experiences on political trust is obviously different,corruption perception has a negative impact on political trust,and public's corrupt experiences has a weaker negative impact on some of the political institutions because of the limitation of objective conditions.Due to the devastating effects of corruption on political trust,the study points out that it is necessary to vigorously punish corruption in order to improve the public's political trust in government institutions,to save the decline of political trust,to consolidate the legitimacy of the ruling and the stability of the regime,Severely punish corrupt officials and eliminate government officials corruption,in order to reduce public awareness of corruption in government agencies,improve political trust.And to improve the enthusiasm and interest of citizens in political participation,to enhance the level of public service of grassroots governments interacting with citizens,to improve the quality of government services,to correct the behavior of civil servants,so as to reduce the corruption of citizens and improve people's politics Trust level.
