The International Cooperation In The Area Of Mekong River

The Greater Mekong Sub Region(abbreviated as GMS)includes Thailand,Myanmar,Cambodia,Laos,Vietnam and two provinces in China(Yunnan and Guangxi).Its international cooperation achieves a breakthrough in infrastructure development for transportation and telecommunications among those countries,while facilitating the extensive exchanges and collaboration in tourism,human resource,energy,trade and resource development,acquiring tremendous achievements.The economic cooperation of the GMS is vital to the economic development of Southeast Asian countries and is valued by all countries,which is also a concern project in the world.At the same time,since exhibition is a crucial economic growth point of the regional cooperation,it gradually attracts attention from the Asian countries even all over the world.Through the cooperation and exchange in the mainstream exhibition of Asia,the role and effect of the exhibition are greatly enhanced.For example,the China-South Asia Expo,GMS Leaders' Meeting,GMS Forum,Thailand International Machinery Exhibition,China-ASEAN Exhibitions,etc.,through these exhibitions to achieve a good form of economic cooperation,trade and cultural exchanges.Through the features exhibition by every country to achieve the sharing of national resources and information to meet the requirements of national markets,and thus continue to deepen the cooperation and trade in other related areas.The exploration of the cooperation in the GMS is based on the development of the sub region itself,and then conducts in-deep research,analyzes the detailed exhibition collaboration mode and dissects the existing problems and shortcomings in the collaboration among countries.This paper focuses on the economic cooperation of the GMS,and analyzes the present situation of the participating countries in the region,obtains the cooperation way in the region.In view of the typical mode of cooperation between China and South Asia Expo,the paper explores the background,history,data and organizational structure behind its success,so as to obtain the main problems in order to further expand the development and cooperation of sub-regional exhibitions and lay solid foundation for the future.
