Since the 1990 s,the different sub-regional cooperation were built in Lancang-Mekong sub-region.In the meanwhile,China,Laos,Thailand,Cambodia and Vietnam established multilevel, institutionalized and substantial sub-regional cooperation in different ranges. In recent years, this area appeared various forms of cooperation mechanism which was given priority to America,Japan and other countries. But none of these cooperation mechanisms are independently advocated by Mekong River countries. On November 12,2015,the Lancang-Mekong River Cooperation for the First Foreign Ministers' Meeting was held in Jinghong,Yunnan,China, which marked “Lancang-Mekong River Cooperation Mechanism(LMC)”was firmly established.Along with the advancement of the Belt and Road(B&R),in the southeast Asia region, especially the five peninsula countries in southeast,LMC Mechanism as an important fulcrum of the B&R,which are relying on the greater Mekong Sub-regional economic cooperation mechanism.Making LMC Mechanism connected with B&R will make substantive progress and achievement in Lancang-Mekong sub-regional development. In this paper,it used historical analysis, theoretical analysis, subject crossing method, and other research methods. It focused on the analysis of the establishment background of LMC Mechanism, expounded the status of the mechanism, discussed the advance direction and achievement of LMC Mechanism, then analyzed the outlook of promoting the LMC mechanism.I think this mechanism will promote the economic and social development in Lancang-Mekong region, and promote the building of the Asian Community and the Community of Human Destiny.
