Research On Public Participation In The Governance Of Environmental Conflicts

At present,environmental pollution is serious in China,the environmental situation is worrying,and environmental problems have gradually become the focus of social concern.People's differences in sense of consciousness,interests,demands and ways of behavior lead to frequent environmental conflicts.Under such circumstances,more theoretical research and practical exploration are needed for the public participation in environmental conflict governance.This paper introduces the current research situation of environmental conflict governance and public participation at home and abroad,the public participation in environmental conflict governance is theoretically analyzed.Sort out the concepts of environmental conflict,public participation and government governance.Study the governance theory and participation theory involved in the research process,and explore the principles and objectives of public participation in environmental conflict governance on the basis of these conceptual theories.Then,mainly from the perspective of government governance,the public participation in environmental conflict is studied,analyzes the phenomenon of lack of public participation in the process of governance in the different stages of environmental conflict.Find out the crux of the failure of public participation in environmental conflicts in China.In this paper,combined with the status quo of China's current environmental governance in the conflict of public participation,analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of China's public participation in environmental conflict management activities,to find out the existing in China's environmental governance problems in the conflict from participating subjects and objects,participation,participation range and participate in the process,and according to these problems to explore to solve China's environmental governance in the conflict of public participation in the predicament.Environmental conflict is different from general social conflict.It has a wide range of influence and a long time.And public participation in environmental conflict governance is different from general public participation.In environmental conflict governance,the scope of public participation is wider than that of other public participation,and more participation is required.The destruction of the environment is often irreversible,and the timing of public participation in environmental conflict governance is very important.Timely handling of feedback information can improve the effectiveness of public participation in environmental conflicts.The thesis also puts forward a good environment culture in the society,stimulates the initiative of the participating subjects,and develops the function of the environmental protection organization.The author hopes to improve the effectiveness of public participation in environmental conflict governance through these studies and find ways to deal with environmental conflicts.
