Study Of Wendt's International System Transformation Theory

Since the established of subject of International Relations in the early 19 century,International System(world system)study has been the key issue discussed by academia.Alexander Wendt's study in the theory of Transformation of International System is representative among constructivists.Wendt argues that a global monopoly on the legitimate use of organized violence — a world state — is inevitable according to teleological theory.Wendt thinks the world state will inevitably move through five stages that are system of states,society of states,world society,collective security,and the world state.First,this article defines concept of International System and expounds viewpoints of main schools and expounds reasoning based as Teleology,Recognition theory and Symbolic Interactionism of it.Then this article shows reasoning logic that world country in the process of appearance,culture construct basic status of the system unit and decided to the interests and behavior of the unit.Dominant state in the system is determined by the role identity,culture internalized as they make up the corresponding to the international system.recognition of continuously strengthen the advancement of dominant culture and international system eventually resulted in the international system transformation and upgrade constantly.The third part expounds theoretical significance of evolutionism,global governance and the value of perception and realistic significance of security community,international strategy and international regime of Wendt's international system transformation and this article analyzes that Wendt's theory exists the defects of logical contradiction and lack of objectivity by Vaughn Shannon and Barry Buzan.The last part,This article thinks about China's participation in transformation of international system,including China should actively shape their own national strategy and to promotes its own national culture,and determines to maintain their own national interests and grasps their own international discourse in the international system.
