Emancipation of women is an important measure of human social progress,while women's participation in politics is the advanced form of women's liberation.It is an important issue for the development of human society to bring the political participation of women into the development of human political civilization in 21 Century.The level of women's political participation is also one of the significant criteria for measuring the degree of political civilization development and social progress.Today's international community,the state and the government are increasingly paying attention to the existence of women in politics,actively promoting the gender equality agenda,improving women's social status and promoting women's political participation has become the mainstream of the world.Women are also widely recognized that women's participation in politics is an important sign of the realization of women's rights and a way to achieve self-worth and establish social status.Thus women are making unremitting efforts to strive for equal social and political rights.Over the past few decades,the political participation of women in the African region has been growing rapidly,and the political participation of women in Rwanda has been particularly striking.Rwanda,which suffered from civil war torture and was rated by the United Nations as one of the least developed countries,became the country with the largest number of Women Parliamentarians in the world after the 2003 election.After the2008 election,the number of women's parliamentary representatives are more than the male parliamentary representatives,became the world's first parliamentary women more than men in the country.This phenomenon is worthy of further study and discussion on the such great achievements in the political participation of developing countries in the African region,where women's empowerment is still being improved.The article begins with the change of political status and political participation of Rwandan women in society,mainly discusses the process of Rwandan women from social status to political participation and its driving factors.At the same time,the factors influencing the political participation of Rwandan women were analyzed.The purpose of this study is to show that the degree of political participation of women in Rwanda has a positive impact on the political modernization and social stability of the country,and the promotion of women's empowerment in the world.
