A Research On The Protection Of "Environmental Refugees" From The Perspective Of International Law

From the Egyptian scholar Essam El-Hinnawi first pulled out the term "Environmental Refugees" in the 1970s,with global warming and environmental degradation,the problem of"Environmental Refugees" caused by environmental factors has also aroused widespread concern in the international community.Various data and studies have shown that the problem of "Environmental refugee" has become a problem todayand the problem of "Environmental Refugees" have been caused by environmental problems,such as drought,floods,desertification and sea level riser." Environmental Refugee" has become one of the most serious crises of human society.However,Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees(hereinafter referred to as the 1951"Refugee Convention"),which is ambiguous about the definition of "Environmental Refugees" and the direct protection of refugees,does not include the "Environmental Refugees","Environmental Refugees" do not have access to the qualifications and treatment of the 1951 Refugee Convention.It is not feasible to redefine the concept of "refugees",to modify the 1951 Refugee Convention or draft and develop and implement the Environmental Protection Convention Row.Therefore,to give the"Environmental Refugees "group full protection,should actively seek the help from international law,the norms of traditional international law to give "Environmental Refugees"the idea of protection for sovereign countries to set a limited acceptance of "Environmental Refugees" To protect Environmental Refugees" from international human rights law and international environmental law,to protect the rights and interests of "Environmental Refugees",to develop relevant international legal documents and to sign regional bilaterally or multilateral treaties for environmental refugee protection.On the other hand,the article also proposes a new path for the protection of "Environmental Refugees" in the context of international law,through the international corporate social responsibility,and through the principle of basic humanitarian considerations,and finally advocating "common but differentiated protection of global environmental responsibility" to protect "Environmental Refugees"."Environmental Refugees" is an important issue in the 21st century.Environmental factors are increasingly becoming important factors influencing human survival,and dealing with the "Environmental Refugees" problem is also the responsibility and attitude of the international community,so as to truly solve the "Environmental Refugees" problem and to protect and create a better international social environment.
